DiMeola might give you an argument, but he'd be blushing inside having played with him. General ignorance, and the death of some tv show host on the same day, meant that few felt the sense of loss the death of such an artistic titan should evoke. At his peak Manitas de Plata (silver hands) may have been better, but I think DeLucia delved deeper into the art of the guitar. If you ever saw him thank your lucky stars.
