JiminSTL
WOW 60 today Belated Happy Birthday, from one mariner to another. Not "RET", as was in 5 years (1968-1973). Watch an old "Victory At Sea" film and enjoy each of your days.

LonestarBlues2
Happy Belated Birthday USNRET. My older brother in Katy, Texas turns 60 May 24. I'm 55. My best friend that I grew up with here in C.C. from 1st grade through grade 12 was in the Navy for 20 years & is now retired. He was stationed at North Island-San Diego/Coronado for most of his 20 years. He did Shore Duty at the Naval Base in Fallon, Nevada and loved it there. When he got diabetes and no longer had to go out for 6 month Sea Duty, he requested a transfer back to the Naval Base at Fallon, Nevada. His Dad was a Supervisor at CCAD many many years ago. Back in the late 90's/early 2000's Carter used to be part of a Crew that would bring Helicopters from the Naval Base in Fallon to CCAD for repair.
