joessportster
I have a friend that is asking me to help him find a nice digital amp to run on his single driver speakers He loves tubes but cant afford a tube amp with enough power to drive the speakers bass (the way he wants) ultimately he would like to stay around 500.00, but may be able to bump that a little also he is looking at 100 WPC or there about any info helpful as I know ZERO about a digital amp

Mallette
Can of worms, Joe. Most look down their noses at the TI amps and such. I have 3 Panasonic receivers around and find them all better than SS. Paid around 100 on Ebay for them. Not sure whether it is intentional or what, but I've yet to have a Class D amp that really seemed to have the rated power. Most of those rated at 100wpc act more like 30wpc. Dave
justinsweber
if he is up for a small project... chipamp.com http://chipamp.com/product/non-inverting-lm1875-stereo-kit/ Ive used this kit more than a few times. I turned it down some to get a super sweet 18-20watts. This is subjective, but very tube like... great sound.
