DonutHands
Just gonna throw this out there. Super long shot. If someone does or at least the plate amp from one i could really use a pic of one of the board on the amp.My plate amp died and 3 resistors are dead, burnt beyond recognition. So i need a very clear pic of them or if you know how to read values that would be even better. This is the board and resistors in question. Thank so much. NOSValves
Can't help you with this beyond saying those resistors burned up for a reason so replacing them alone will not fix the problem. You might already know this but I thought it wise to put the information in the thread. Resistors don't burn up unless something is drawing to much current through them...well unless they were not up to a task in the first place which is not likely... DonutHands
Hoping to find a failed transistor, easy enough hopefully. But if i cant figure out what to replace the burnt resistors with first im not going to go any further with this thing.

The plate comes off with ease after you take off the 8-10 screws around the perimeter. The only things connected internally are 2 wires for the speaker and one cable for the light on the front. I dont even think you have to disconnect them to flip the amp over and lay it down to snap a few pics.

Turbox
Leave the old amp there, and power the sub externally. that might be better.
Jugger
Are you taking about this plate? I have removed 16 screws but the thing will not come off. Any tips on how to get it off? I tried prying with a flathead screw driver but that is just marking up the wood around it.
DonutHands
oh no, that does not look like my KSW-15 amp at all. I guess they changed the amp at some point along the way. I thank you for trying to help me out here but the guts of your amp are probably way different than mine.
