michaeldelo
Hello all, I'd like to complete my 5.1 setup of the old icon line(XF-48 x2, XL-23 x2) and get 2 more of these speakers to serve as rears go up to 7.1 Thanks!
johnnydrama
These are hard to find. I know trust me. I currently have one in the box bc I'm only using the XF-48s in a 2.1 setup currently. But I may have a use for the 23 down the road so I've just been stashing it.
CECAA850
Seems that there's a lot of love for the original Icon series. Makes you wonder why they quit making them. They were stylish and sounded great for their size. The new Icon series looks like warmed over Synergy speakers.
michaeldelo
I really do love the speakers. I see from the past threads that they are still in demand.
johnnydrama
Yea the original Icon speakers (Icon X and Icon W) used a lot of the higher end components like the reference series (titanium tweeters etc.) in a sleeker and more attractive package that appealed more to the lifestyle conscious buyer. The newer Icons definitely diminished what the originals were. I love mine because they sound great, not as good as a reference series, however I will say I prefer the horn on my Icons because it is a little less harsh. But more importantly I think they are a sexy speaker. My favorite looking that Klipsch has ever produced. To me it's a complete package. themrclean
I have a pair of XF-48s I could sell you! I used 4 of the 48s for my mains and surrounds and they sounded amazing. I started with the 23s as surrounds and then upgraded to the 48s and never looked back. Edited October 1, 2014 by themrclean

michaeldelo
Pretty reasonable pricing! I live in Bangor, PA. Do you have a method to ship?
themrclean
I can ship them no problem but it wouldn't be cheap.
michaeldelo
I'll end up spending more than I spent on them new I think...
themrclean
If you are interested I can get a quote for you tomorrow. If not, no big deal, I just thought I'd throw it out there.
johnnydrama
There are a couple pairs of XB-10s on eBay, just FYI if you wanna save some cash and implement a speaker from the same family that incorporate well with your current setup. Or the Icon WS-24 surrounds are available a little more readily and utilize the same drivers and horns. Just some ideas
