Taz
What the heck. I offer my car up as a test mule to see what happens. If no increase, I'll stop. If the car suffers damage I'll quit. It's not like people, it can be replaced. I have a stereo system worth more then the car. As should be.
Taz
Usual milage between 28 to 31 mpg. Filled up and divided miles driven by fuel used = 36+ miles per gallon. Carrying 1.5 gallons in the trunk just incase I push it too far. That will get me to a fuel station should I run out on the road. No problems noted as of this time. The only time I have seen milage like this was tailgating semi's at 55 mph. Will not do that no more. They don't seem to like it. Rightly So! Ceptorman
Very interesting. I liked your comment about your stereo worth more than your car, as it should be!
Taz
Filled up today at 166058 on odometer. 399.1 miles 10.399 in fuel 38.37 mpg the only way that i think I can do a fair eval is to try to drive for mileage without drafting. Mostly 70 mph on the freeway. steady and smooth on throttle. Edited November 25, 2014 by Taz

CECAA850
OK, TAZ. You know, in order for this whole experiment thing to work, you have to put your glasses on when you use the calculator.
Taz
OK I turned on the light, put on my glasses, got the calculator with the big buttons and big display and here is what I got. I went 399.1 miles using 10.399. Or at least that was how much fuel it took to refill the tank. 399.1 miles driven divided 10.399 fuel used = 38.37 miles per gallon If I'm wrong I would be happy to see my error. CECAA850
Filled up today at 166058 on odometer. 299.1 miles The first time you said 299.1 miles. I went 399.1 miles using 10.399. Or at least that was how much fuel it took to refill the tank. The second time you said 399.1 miles. that's where the confusion came in. Thanks will go back and edit to try to avoid confusing anyone else still the best milage I have ever gotten with this car. I've heard that the winter gas will not provide as good of mpg so will need to run this additive a while to get a good reference.
