paulhinrichsen
Hello, I just bought a pair of KG 3.2s for $190, and im trying to buy the best possible amp for these. I dont know too much about speakers, but i live in the tampa area so i have been trying to find a good amplifier for less than $150 that would match these. Can anyone point me in the right direction...bonus points for a link to one on Tampa's craiglist THanks!!!!

paulhinrichsen
So all i would need to set this system up would be this amp? Its a bit expensive, i was hoping to grab one for around 125-150 tops. Do i need cables or anything else specific? willland
Paulhinrichsen, Welcome to the forum. Are you considering an integrated stereo amp or a stereo preamp and amplifier combo? paulhinrichsen
Im not too good as i said with this kind of stuff, im quite tech savvy just not in the speaker world. Im not sure of the difference, i just want an AMP that will complete my system with the pair of 3.2s, for under $150 essentially.

Okay, are you planning on it being only a 2-channel rig or will you be using the 3.2's for TV/movies/surround sound? paulhinrichsen
I have a 46in TV i was going to hookup as well, but i dont have any standalone speakers besides the 2 Klpisch KG 3.2s, so it would be the TV, two speakers, amp. Gotcha. I am still thinking. Is your main objective to have better quality music listening or more TV sound? Bill
paulhinrichsen
Music listening, anything better than tv speakers will be fine for movies. so this is solely for music

runninshine
I just bought a used pair as well and I really like the sound they produce for such a small footprint. I am driving mine with a Carver CM 1090 and I love what Im hearing. Paid about 200 bones a few years ago for the amp.
