RagingBullWinkle
Sad thing is I have a C2200 that would look really sharp next to this, I'm only short about 6800. sigh
mikebse2a3
Just a heads up...! While the MC2000 is a beautifull amplifier and sounds very good they have been known to have intermitent output tube failures. One problem that was identified was intermitent failures due to componets being installed to close to the circuit board traces on some units so if I was thinking about one of these I would want to know about any repair history and maybe contact McIntosh with serial number of the unit to see if it could have been produced during the period when this problem was identified. I've done repairs several times on the Mc2000 I would be worried about long term reliability issues due to the designs use of tubes with double sided circuit boards and another thing is cost of repairs if you don't have a local technician because the shipping of such a heavy unit both ways is very expensive. miketn
