Spoonplugger
Ordered a pair of these from simply speakers for my Forte's listened for a while and they are just to bright for me. Some rave about them just not my bag went back to Crites Midrange. First $75 can have the pair of diaphriams I will ship them free in the US. Thanks, Spoonplugger
SWL
You have to have the bandpass mod done to the x-over or have the ability (EQ) to make a cut in the 7k frequency range to make them sound 'right'. I do the latter and it is one of the best mods I've done to my speakers.
ajoker2c
If you're willing to ship to Toronto for the added cost I'll take them.

colterphoto1
how people consider adding Ti diaphrams an 'upgrade' I'll never understand. My theory is that older, more hearing impaired listeners prefer the extra brightness. I don't care for Ti at all.

My theory is that older, more hearing impaired listeners prefer the extra brightness. I don't care for Ti at all. The problem is that most people will use titanium diaphragms with plastic horns , and they will sound very bright and even very harsh , on the other hand if used with a cast metal horn , they blend very well and are smoother -
moray james
a layer of dynamat on the terminal tab has a dramatic impact on ti tweeter diaphragm. there are other mods which also help. Best regards Moray James.
