tlarwa
Selling my Bottlehead Smash direct heated triode preamp to go back to a passive preamp, which is a better fit for my system. The Smash is stock, except for new aluminum knobs, and sounds terrific. I'm surprised how quiet it is, to be honest. And I'm told it can be even better with the addition of Doc's Smash Up upgrade kit. It will ship with the stock tubeset. The base is alder, and has been sanded and finished with 3 coats of clear shellac. The top of the base is cut at an angle, which sets it apart from the stock flat box, and is a nice look, in my opinion. The aluminum top plate has a random brushed finish, and looks great. There are a couple of small scratches in the top plate, but they are honestly almost unnoticeable with the brushed finish (see pictures). I also added rubber feet, whihc help isolate the base. They are easily removeable if you don't like them. Lead times for the Smash are about 6 weeks, so save yourself some time by buying this pre-built version! I will include the stock black phenolic knobs, power cord and assembly instructions CD. Shipping is a flat $15.00 in the CONUS.
Schu
Do you have any pictures of the internals please? Either a stock picture or actual picture... what tubes are included?
