twk123
On our local classifieds there is an elemental Designs a7s-450 18 subwoofer for sale for $150. They said a cap needs to be replaced which should not be too hard. Anyway, I have never used a soldering iron or anything and $150 is a lot for me but if I can get an insane $1k+ sub for dirt cheap and repair it I think it would be cool. Anyway what do you guys think? http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=33552299&cat=&lpid=&search=&ad_cid=
angusruler
seems goodly. just for the heck of it, maybe check and see if theres a repair facility inyer area in case you arent able to fix on yer own. good luck.
CECAA850
More than likely there's more wrong with it than one cap. I'd get it and block off the old amp hole and get a pro style amp to replace it with.

The sub is driven by an 1800W amp which is a lot more than I need. I have a smaller room, could I use a 500W plate amp to drive it?
