onlysleeping
I have a set of 1981 khorns. No manual. I want to make sure the woofers are connected to the crossover properly but I don't see any markings on the woofer connection. If I'm facing the woofer is the right or left connection positive? I could try a battery but worried about damage and I'm not sure I could see it move anyway.
Moderators dtel Posted May 23, 2015 Moderators Share Posted May 23, 2015 (edited) Don't have khorns but bumping this up looking for an answer, I thought there is a red dot on the woofer terminal, just don't know if you can see that in a khorn? Max2
9 volt battery. connect it up to the pos and negative side on the batt. If it is correct the speaker cone will move outward first and then in. If its backwards it will do the opposite. Easier way. If you have a meter put it on DC voltage. Touch the probes to each side of the pos and negative terminals. If you get a positive number, the probes are correct is. If you get a negative number, switch the probe side and try again to confirm its correct. onlysleeping
Thanks. Opened the cabinet and saw red dots on the woofer, which I believe indicated positive. Much more full sounding now.
