Mike M
I'm currently running RF-82iis for my main L&R channels and was thinking about buying the new rp-280fs to replace those, and using the 82iis as side surrounds instead of getting the rp-250s's since the 280f's are on sale and are currently cheaper than a pair of 250s's. I think it would make more sense to use the 82iis as side surrounds rather than the 250s's, or should I keep the 82iis as my mains and get the 250s's as side surrounds? Im just wanting some other opinions as to what would be better.
derrickdj1
It depends on floor space and the room layout on what will work better. It is nice to have all towers and the Atmos feature is a future proof option. I like the smaller surrounds since they don't get a big work load like the mains and center. Scrappydue
Let's start with the most important question. What center do you have right now?

derrickdj1
Well, the RP 280 would match the RP 450 for the front stage.
Mike M
I went ahead and got the 280f's since it was cheaper to buy the 280f's than it was to buy the RP-250s's, the rf-82iis are looking way more bad *** as side surrounds than the Rp-250s's would have imo. Plus now my whole front stage will be matching since I have the 280f's,450c, and dual 115sw's.
