WMcD
Let me suggest, for your listening, a less known album from the '70s. I'll call it prog rock. Somewhat like Nights in White Satin there is classical orchestra, and here, great piano involved. Bass too. The star is the lead female. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annie_Haslam Five octave range. OMG. Perfect pitch. I saw the group at the Felt Forum back in the day.. A heckler, or plant, shouted, "Annie, give us a laugh." She gave out a marvelous giggle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEZ5tu1RIJU The Tale of Scheherazade starts about half way through the YouTube which corresponds to the second side of the vinyl. wvu80
I had every early album they ever produced, nothing from later years. I found them when I was in college in the 70's. Fantastically talented Classical rock band which did many arrangements of classical music. Annie Haslam is one of my favorite female vocalists of all time. The albums are now long gone. Thanks for reviving those memories. Edited January 2, 2016 by wvu80
