absolve2525
What do you guys recommend checking out from monoprice? Thanks for the tip also.
wvu80
Speaker wire in 100' spools comes to mind, I use the 12 ga. Very flexible, it has a lot of strands. Stay away from the banana plugs, they advertise it will accept up to 12 ga, but the hole is too small for their own wire. Some locking models have screw-in type interchangeable tips. absolve2525
Cool! Have you used their interconnects?
wvu80
Cool! Have you used their interconnects? Sorry to be so long replying, I just found this thread again. What do you mean by interconnects? Do you mean their pre-made cables or Speakon type connectors? All I've gotten from them is the locking banana plugs, with the special feature that they had screw-on tips. That means you can buy a banana plug end, or pin type. The problem is the screw-on comes loose, so I don't recommend them. I've got some older equipment/speakers that have spring loaded receptacles that accommodate the pin plug. I have bought their HDMI cables, heavy duty, cheap, good stuff. I think I also bought a pair of Monoprice in-ear sports headphones for $15-20, they sound very good as well. absolve2525
I meant RCA interconnects. For regular home audio. I'm definitely on the speaker cable. Thanks!
wvu80
No, I haven't bought anything with the RCA interconnects. The cables look good, though. At some point I will be upgrading my cables and interconnects DIY style, not because I have any illusion that cables will make my system sound significantly better, but because I like building things myself and a lot of the cables look cool. When I first bought from them I basically went through their entire catalog looking for stuff I probably didn't need, based on reputation and low prices. I know what you're going to say, that's a lousy way to acquire new stuff. But it works!

absolve2525
Sweet. I ordered a 100ft spool of the 12AWG OF cable and a bunch of the premium RCA cables. At least it's easier to hoard cables than speakers! ☺ Edited February 1, 2016 by absolve2525
miketyler
Their in-wall speakers get great reviews. Also, they are THE place to buy TV wall mounts. Great quality for $ and fast shipping as well. Never disappointed with all I have purchased there
