babadono
OP, How's your hearing? Had it checked lately? I try to not judge what others say they hear and don't hear cuz my hearing sucks.
felipe
"I just swapped the L and R to see if it was room acoustics, and the issue remains...the timbre is still different with that speaker. I guess it could be an internal wiring..." Did you physically reverse the position of the loudspeakers, or did you swap the wires around? I apologize if that sounds condescending. Yes, I physically swapped the locations of the loudspeakers. Hope that clears it up some . After putting them side by side and retesting them, I believe I know what's going on. Side by side, the difference in sound is indistinguishable..almost. The left speakers horn driver is just a touch (and I mean a touch) louder than the right one. It was then that I remembered...I purchased the Klipsch center (RP-250C) as an open-box/used item. So, it most likely has already been broken-in some to start. With that in mind, I believe it is possible that my right speaker has broken-in some (hence the test tone sounding identical) and the left still has a little more to go. I know it sounds kinda far fetched, but after all my efforts stated previously, my conclusion stated in the previous paragraph is what it seems like it is. However, like it was suggested, I will contact Klipsch tech support..see what they tell me I know I said this before, but when I play ANY kind of source material ( whether it be movies,TV or music ), the soundstage is seemless. These are fantastic sounding speakers .

mark1101
When you placed the 2 speakers together did you put the system into MONO mode so the same information is played through both? If it was in stereo they should sound different from one another.

Interesting...kinda proves my theory tho . Edited February 27, 2016 by felipe

And that theory is...? Chris I think it's about the speaker break in thing. I don't think that had anything to do with it.
