jayu969
Morning all, I have just purchased 2 Walnut Heresy III's that were purchased from different folks that were using them as center channels. I was able to save a TON of money this way however I need to deal with a few things. 1) One of the speakers was a B-stock with a slightly lighter shade of walnut. The 3rd pictures shows the based which is the correct shade and the speakers which is lighter shade. 2) This same B-stock speaker has some scratches from the previous owner's cat (see photos). I am not a master re-finisher and was looking for some help on best way to remove/hide the scratches AND also possible to add a mold stain to both speakers in order to get them to match. The B-stock speaker is shown in attached photos. The A-stock speaker with the correct walnut veneer/finish has been shipped, but not yet arrived. I would also like to keep the speakers as close to stock looking as possible for future re-sale. Edited April 3, 2016 by jayu969
willland
Jay, Try this first and then go from there. My cherry RB-75's have a few surface scratches and the OE did a great job in camouflaging the scratches. Bill
willland
I would normally suggest OE Scratch Cover for dark woods with walnut but yours are a bit lighter than "usual". Bill

ricktate
You could also try WATCO rejuvenating oil.....I have used that brand for staining and rejuvenating projects. Rick
Alex L
My cat has also had some fun with my Heresy III speakers although, admittedly, not nearly as bad as in the photo you posted. I have used the miniwax touch pen (Golden Oak) to great effect though. Completely erased the scratched. Looks brand new. Removing the grille made my cat lose interest in the speakers.
