jimjimbo
Acquired an inexpensive pair of Forte's this past week (thanks for Opus....) that need a bit of work, and I'm looking for a pair of dust caps for the rear passive KD-13's. Anyone know where to source these, and what the exact size is? They look to be approx. 4 inches in diameter, but would like to be sure. Obviously would like to keep them as close to OEM looking as possible......Thanks for any help. Edit: Also wanted to ask what is the best adhesive to use for installing these, once I get them? mustang guy
This is the glue I use: http://www.parts-express.com/black-rubber-cement-speaker-repair-glue-1-oz-bottle--340-078 Why not just buy a cap from PE too? Can it be repaired instead using a vac?
jimjimbo
Actually, they are both MIA, so need to buy new. Thanks for the link to the glue.
pzannucci
If none are available through Klipsch, I would look at the generic ones available at Simply Speakers http://www.simplyspeakers.com/search.asp?keyword=dust+cap
jimjimbo
Ordered a few from Parts Express, they are inexpensive and look to be the right size. Didn't even try Klipsch, doubt they would carry them.
longdrive03
Jimbo I may have some 4 inch dust caps with the Klipsch emblem on them. I can check and see if you're interested in them. You may not want the Klipsch emblem on the passive radiator. I think I have some of those left. I'll check.
