drudini
I have a pair of KG 5.5's that are in excellent condition. I would like to add a center channel and rear surrounds to the mix. Are there any current Klipsch models that would match well to the 5.5's or do I need to seek out some older models such as KV2 and KG .5??? Mikekid
I would go looking for some of the "older" kg series to go with the 5.5's. KG.5, KG1.2, KG1.5, KG1.2V, KG1.5V KG2.2, KG2.5, KG2.2V, KG2.5V, KG3.5, KG4.5, KG5.5................ Take care Mike (The Yamaha Underdog)
Flason
I had a KLF-C7 running with the 5.5's and it was real sweet. I think the 5.5's are almost as nice as the KLF30's. I know the 30's should have a crap load more slam, but the 5.5 front port really pumps out a lot of lows.
MagnumMan
I agree with Flason. KLF-C7 is a good match for the 5.5's. Before I got my KLF-30's,the 5.5's were my mains. And they were great together! ------------------ Jerry CP RULZ ------------ Mains: KLF 30 Rears: KG 5.5 Center: KLF-C7 Subs: (2) Antique wooden coffins with (3) 12" Advents in each Receiver: HK AVR-80 DD Processor: HK ADP-303 DTS Processor: Rotel RDA 985 AudioControl Phase Coupled Activator Series Three TV: Toshiba 42H81 42" Theaterwide DVD: Toshiba 4109X Laserdisc: Yamaha CDV-W901 5 CH Amp(for Speakers): Rotel RMB-1095 5 CH Amp(for subs): Rotel RB-985 Single Cass Deck: HK TD-420 Dual Cass Deck: HK DC-
STL
Get at least a KV3 for the center. Better yet get any speaker with the K-85-K tweeter and build a new enclosure for it. BTW, the KG4.2, 4.5, 5.2, and 5.5 all use the same K-85-K tweeter. I used to have a KV3 but sold it and bought a lone KG4.2 (on eBay) instead.
