corey klipsch
Installed the subwoofer and now when I run the calabration on onkyo my towers the klipsch 260s get crossed over at 150. They where being crossed over at 40.not sure why?
willland
First, I don't think Onkyo's proprietary EQ software(AccuEQ) has been around long enough to stand the test of time. Second, even with Audyssey, many have had to change their crossovers to a more "accurate" setting. My suggestion is to set all speakers to 80Hz and tweak from there. corey klipsch
That's how I have it now.set at 80 but originally onkyo set them to 450c 50hz 260 40hz 150. 60hz Now it's 450c 60hz 260 150 hz 150 150 hz I'm still using original tune that was using an 12inch sub from years ago . cerwin vega
willland
It looks like your HSU will play cleanly upwards of 150Hz. Not too good for dialog and vocals. Looking at this plot I would say so. Bill

corey klipsch
So what would be the best way to go about this.?unplug sub and just run calabration with the klipsch speakers then plug sub up .only thing is I won't have any room corrections for sub. Also doesn't lowering the crossover points after a high 150 setting taking it down to 80 cancel the room correction for towers?idk

derrickdj1
As Bill said, set a global XO on all the speakers at 80 Hz. No need for a lower XO on any of the speakers. Run calibration, after this set all speakers to small, XO at 80 Hz and you are done.
jason str
Crossing over any higher than 100Hz is a no no, even with a steep filter.

derrickdj1
Set the XO for each speaker to 80 Hz. One at a time or as a group depending on your avr.
