Skidmarks
Hello. I decided its time to incorporate some newer tech into my system. I just ordered a new 4KTV with only HDMI inputs and decided I have to finally either get a new AVR or sell my RF-7 5.1 system and go a different direction. My old Yamaha AVR is 15yrs old and has no HDMI so its getting decommissioned either way. I have noticed a few good sales on some Denon mid level AVRs that seem to be rather well equipped in the $700-$800 range. Anyone have much luck with Denon? Thanks for any input. calhockey10
I picked up a yamaha rxv779 at frys half off a month or two ago with free shipping. it was like $375 or $400. I run RF7, RC7, RS 52's with it.
CECAA850
Maybe time to look into separates? There's a couple affordable options out there. https://outlawaudio.com/products/975.html https://emotiva.com/products/pres-and-pros/mc-700 Of course you'll need amps but the jump from an avr to separates is normally a pretty good step up in SQ. derrickdj1
There are a lot of good avr's, Denon, Yamaha, Sony and Pioneer. Don't sell the heart of the system for interconnect issuses. You are on the right track and look at more than one brand, they pretty much all have an equivalent that may differ slightly on what all your are looking for. In today's world, connectivity is a big selling point.
