CECAA850
I have a pair of the KPT-100s. They originally did not have ti tweeter diaphragms so I swapped them out. I also defeated the x-curve. They're now on my back patio being used for 2 channel and sound absolutely fantastic (with a sub). They punch way above their weight. Great speakers. I thought that was the tweeter used. I probably got confused because that 17 Khz number was so specific.

davecraze
Know this is an older thread, but just wanted to jump in and concur that these KPT-8001s are great speakers. I have four as rear and side surrounds in an 11 channel atmos setup and don't ever see myself getting rid of them. I like them so much that I also bought another pair as a backup. Haha, it's a sickness.
