mustang guy
I made a post to try to get this guy to understand that the A in AV means audio. What a beautiful HT with a complete crap sound system! DON'T click on the picture or you will be taken to Imgur. This stupid Klipsch BBS software! Click on the title "My home theater..." part. ssh
You need to invite him over for a listen-lesson. SSH
mustang guy
Can you believe the amount of work he did with no consideration at all for sound? What shocked me as much was the positive feedback. That means there are actually other people who think that too. This world we live in is a scary place..... Chris A
Ask the guy what his exposure to music is, i.e., did he play an acoustic instrument or sing in a school or church choir, etc. If the sum total of someone's musical experience doesn't include live (unamplified) "hi-fi" performance, you're going to have a tough time to convincing them what they're missing because they've missed it thus far. PWK reportedly started as a trumpet player in a junior high band. Most that own Klipsch hear the difference that Klipsch loudspeakers make because they started with the real thing--and they want real sound...not that fake stuff. "Get 'em while they're young..." The History Kid
I don't even see any speakers in wall or otherwise in the slideshow he posted...and that dome...great for an artist - terrible for a theater...
mustang guy
The guy talks in the comments section about the in-wall surrounds and that they are too far forward. He also mentions Atmos wiring. His sub is an 8" and his center mains look like the size of Promedia's. So sad! He also mentions that he misses his tower speakers and that his wife helped him with the project. Maybe that is the real story...
The History Kid
He also seems to indicate he is not a "sound guy" - which explains a lot...
Schu
It's his own personal Home theater system... I've lost interest.
