karlson3
I need one horn about like that for a project - if I could squarely cut off ~1.5" from my 601's throat and glue a mounting plate then - maybe that could be used as a mid for my baby Belle. Have you seen any cheap exponential horns which would work to ~600Hz with inexpensive 1" phenolic drivers ? My scaled Belle will be 15" deep so don't want driver plus horn to exceed 15" I'll probably try to use an ancient University SAHF for mid-driver. Maybe my 811 would just about work. Marvel
You could try a EV8HD, but they have a 600hz cutoff. Plenty of them around for little money. That horn got used in lots of speaker systems. Bruce

karlson3
Thanks guys - I somehow lost a pair of 8HD in my mess - there's a cheap plastic clone which might be ok - would you orient it vertically ?
Marvel
Those should go vertically since they are a diffraction horn.
