Canin2323
on the denon 5803. There is a A/B port. Can both be used? so a 9.1 system would be possible right?
Jolly Roger
I think it would split the power in half and may cause inmendance problems on that amp stage but I don't know for sure. It would be the same thing as hooking up two sets of speaker cables to the same terminals.
Dafishguy
Hi there, The A & B terminals both get the same signal so no, you can't have a 9.1 system, the best you would get is a strange 7.1 system with four speakers producing what is normally put out by two speakers. Hope that makes sense. Take care Rick

Mlstrass
I have a 3802 and run 8 speakers in my 6.1 system. Yes it does split the power, but since Klipsch are SO efficient it's not an issue.

Canin2323
ON the 5802 denon. There is a Multi zone? What does that do?
Canin2323
If I get the Denon 5803 I'm going to need a amplifier right? Could I use the one that comes with the dual svs ultras? So all I need is the samson-1000 and The denon 5803?
Kain
Do you need an amplifier with the Denon AVR-5803? No. A/V receivers already have amplifiers and can be hooked up directly to the speakers. The amplifier that comes with the SVS CS-Ultra is meant to power the subwoofer only since the subwoofer itself is not powered (i.e. does not have a built-in amplifier). Lucky Leeroy
The "Multi-zone" on the Denon allows you to run a separate pair of speakers in another room
