dtximages
What can you or someone tell me about the Klipsch 8 inch woofer Part number: K 1077SB. It looks blue in the picture and i want to replace my KG 3.5 woofers with these. Is that a good idea? Thanks for your feedback. Deang
That is the woofer for the sub section of the SP-1. It's the powered floor stander from the Synergy Series. You really need to use the correct part. Why not just call Klipsch Customer Service?
Guest BobG
Dean is 100% correct. The ONLY woofer to use in KG-3.5's is the K-1002K. Anything else will not perform properly, and the chance that the difference would be an improvement is about zero. This is especially true with the sub driver from the SP-1. Not at all what would work properly in KG-3.5's. When dreaming about what you'd like to improve in the performance of your speakers, remember that every enhancement comes with a tradeoff. So if your goal is to enhance deep bass, ask yourself if you'd be willing to give up midrange performance to get there. Use the stock woofers and add a subwoofer. prodj101
It's usually hard to improve on the original design, well, except in the case of my Jif-Subtm, lol. that thing would kill the origninal CSW sub box.
