Klipsch-daddy
I will trade you my rf3's and the problem is solved.. . Seriously there is some kind of magnet adaptor you can buy to prevent the woofers interfearing with your tv. Some board members here have done this. Sorry I cant recall who did it. T2K
You need bucking magnets that are available from Klipsch. Boa shielded his KLF30's. You might drop him a note for tips and tactics. Good luck! Keith
justin_tx_16
Yes. You need a simple set of Bucking magnets. These are donut shaped magnets that neutralize the magnetic feild coming out from the speaker magnet on the back side of the magnet, does nto change speaker performance. you simply find the right magnet and clue it to the speaker magnet. an easy fix
Mlstrass
The bucking magnets are not cheap, but "should" do the trick. I installed them on my KLF-30's & KLF-10 CC. I still can't get the speakers closer than about 12"s from the TV, but perhaps my RCA is more sensitive than some other sets. Use some 1 minute quick dry epoxy and make sure the magnets don't move while drying. The speakers will have to be removed and you might need to enlarge the tweeter horn hole to fit it back in with the magnet glued on. A file or course sandpaper will do the trick. Good luck...Mike
lynnm
Here you go sparky ! http://www.partsexpress.com Do a search for part number 249-325. I don't know if they will be powerful/large enough for the KLF20's but I'm sure they could advise you. Good choice on the 20's BTW. I love my 30's ! Michael Greenway
I was in same boat as you. My KLF-30's changed the color of my Sony 27" Vega on one side. I cut a piece of 14 gauge sheet metal same size as side of my cabinet. I placed it next to tv and it shunted the magnetic field. It help alot. I now have a 19' x 20' room and no longer need it. gmacinwj
i was considering this option because i called the tech line and the guy said the bucking magnets may or may not do the trick so don't want to waste $160 on magnets for the both and all of the speakers inside. I like the sheet metal idea because in my theater i have a curtian in front so you only see the screen and the sheets of metal could be easily hidden
gmacinwj
spoke to klipsh tech support and they also say each individual tv responds different to the fields so i guess i'll just have to see
