swizzlestick
Hello, I own a pair of Klipsch Belle Loud speakers (circa 1974-75). They have been in storage for about 12 years and I am wondering about couple of things. First: Will I have any issue with age and materials used for the woof's or horns? Second: Is it possible to upgrade the crossovers? They currently have the AA's. What mods can be done & if there are mods does anyone have a schematic of the changes? Third: If upgrading is not an option what kind of stuff should I check before using them? Is there any maintanence that I can perform? Also any help or info any of you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you,
J M O N
Hook them up and listen to them. Odds are, you're going to be amazed at how good they sound.
Mighty Favog
Swizzle- This is (or you are) a classic person to talk to Al Klappenberger here on the forum. He does build his own brand of crossovers for the Heritage line of Klipsch. In fact, he started doing this on his own pair of Belles. Just go to the address below: http://www.alkeng.com/klipsch.html
HDBRbuilder
There is probably no need to change anything on those Belles...unless you decide to change the crossover network to one of Al K's networks in the future! Your Belles have great components in them...I would suggest just listening to them AS THEY ARE for awhile before you decide to change ANYTHING!!
