admiralburns
Hi folks, I'm new here, first post. I'm currently in a bit of a space crunch in my upstairs. I am using a couple of JBL LSR305's. I've been wanting to try Klipsch for awhile. The fives and sixes really caught my eye. I like the idea of an active speaker with everything pretty much built in, it just presents in a more minimalistic way, and it seems advantageous to have a beautifully matched amp right in the speaker...one less thing to think about. With a desire to get something with a definite tangible appeal over my 305's, I ordered a set of Sixes yesterday, for $499. That said, I'm having some serious "post purchase stress". I was just on the Klipsch facebook page on WOW, the negative comments about poor customer service are positively overwhelming. I purchased Klipsch having a sense of quality, but it sees like the service is positively dysfunctional, if not unethically non-responsive, if these comments are rooted in truth (that's a big "IF"). Now I'm concerned that if I have any issue with the Sixes, I won't even be able to get ahold of Klipsch for a legit remedy. I'm thinking perhaps I should have gone with something like the RP-600M's with an integrated amp, though that would be a more expensive solution. I'm not sure what that amp would be but given the wattage of the 600M's, I'm thinking it would be pricey. I'm thinking the advantage would be that the passive speakers would be unlikely to have a tech failure, as compared with active speakers. I definitely welcome any comments you have on the situation. I listen to a lot of classic rock (Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Beatles) and modern "jam bands" and bluegrass (LOTS of Infamous Stringdusters, recently some Umphrey's McGee), as well as (less frequently) classic jazz (Charlie Parker, Miles Davis), Sinatra, and a bit of classical. Thanks for any feedback you have! Burns Edited July 31, 2020 by admiralburns
wuzzzer
I haven't heard of many issues with The Sixes. If you do have any, the forum is always here to help.

billybob
Welcome to the forum and do a search in the full forum here on the Sixes to see what more you can find, until more response here. Like the idea of the new Fives. Klipsch has taken some hits lately, due to the virus. Employee s are working remotely from home due to this. Abit of catching up
