mattmatt_s2k
Hello everyone ! I bought last week a SPL-120 subwoofer and I have a problem when powering off. Whether by the switch on the back or the automatic standby, I have a "pop" at the level of the speaker which is audible and which surprises especially during automatic standby. I think it is due to the discharge of the capacitors but the noise seems pronounced to me. This happens both when the subwoofer is plugged into the HC amplifier or when it is only plugged into the power outlet. Do you see the same problem with your subwoofers ? Sorry if my english is not perfect, it's not my native language. Thank you in advance for your answers.
wuzzzer
Best thing to do is just leave it on. It won't hurt anything and will use hardly any electricity.
japosey
That's normal in older amplifier designs that didn't do a good job with turn-on and turn-off thump. Keep it on auto and live with it. It's not hurting anything, but it is annoying

If you bought it used I'd probably just leave it on all of the time unless you're not going to be using it for an extended period
