JCturboT
I know that it has been mentioned before on this site by myself and others but it is worth repeating. If anyone is looking for some excellent X-mas music and is tired of the same overplayed Holiday tunes I suggest looking no further than the Trans Siberian Orcestra. They are the unusal mix of Classic music mixed perfectly with Rock musicians-A Rock Opera if you will...and nothing like the Crap that Meticalla did with the San Francisco Orcestra (don't get me wrong-both excellent on their own but together not so great). If any of you Metal heads listen to Savatage then you get the idea-only on a grander scale. I have tickets to see them at the end of December and will post after that but if anyone wants to check them out for themselves check out their web page. http://trans-siberian.com Jeff
dbflash
Another good one is "Ray Charles Christmas Album". I play it year round. Danny
Soundthought
Olivia was a good man. Glad to have seen his brother carry on in his memory. I don't know much about serious holiday music. A know a humorous one, that is "Santas' Rap" on the Beat Street album. Or how 'bout the Chipmonks christmas? LOL Those are some funny classics. My sister fancies the Charlie Brown Cristmas album... Why...I'll never know. Seriously, The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is a fantastic venue, and I highly recommend seeing them if possible. Very, very dynamic and involving. Gives your goose bumps, goose bumps.
