wuzzzer
Currently using a pair of Synergy S2 as rear surrounds. I have them mounted to the wall behind my couch. They sit about four feet above my head while seated and about three feet behind my couch. I've been contemplating replacing them with the single Heresy I have sitting around collecting dust. I have a pair of stands that are about 30" tall that I could put side-by-side and then set the Heresy on that. My receiver has an option for configuring a 6.1 setup utilizing a single rear surround. I'm just wondering if it'll be too close to the couch? Obviously I can adjust the output level for the rear Heresy. Even with their gain turned up the S2s are really blown away but my Heresys and RS-7 side surrounds.

I'm always on the lookout for somewhat local deals on them.
