Thanks!! I ordered two of them, one for the FM and another for TV since the current amp is 25db covering 4 TV's. If it's too strong for the TV's, I can always back it off.

About 3-miles away is the tower for 700 WLW AM radio. Talk about a blow-torch of a transmitter. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/WLW

Lol, yes for some stations have just used a 6-8 foot length of RG-6, stripped off the end an inch or 2, not cutting the ground, seprating the two and go to go depending on locations for radio.

Even used rabbit ears in a pinch.

More distant I use an external.

Not sure about AM as I'm using Mac's own one that came with my MR85. But for FM I'm using a Magnum Dynalab ST2 mounted inside the attic. There's not a lot of trees around the house and kinda on top of a hill. Just have this fear of lightning strikes.

Have used a coaxial end inline surge suppressor for that and of course an outlet surge protector.

May prove redundant if antenna in attic is grounded to code. Tend to overdo down here but...
