Juba310
I just unhooked my boston acoustics BA_____'s (i forget the exact model number) speakers from my old computer, and was hoping to hook them to my cd player. The speakers are a 2.1 system...two satelites and a sub with digital output. When i plug my speakers (one plug) into the cd player I get no sound from them. Any idea what I can do to fix it? Help is appreciated.
lynnm
I suspect the problem is that the output from your CD player is simply too low to drive your speakers. When the speakers are hooked up to a computer sound card they are fed with a signal that is quite a bit higher than the signal from a CD player. For example when you play an audio CD on your computer the output of the CD player is fed to the sound card which amplifies the signal and then feeds it to the speakers. justin_tx_16
I don't think that is the case Lynmm. I could be wrong but I believe there is an amp in the subwoofer for your BA's. Try them with another source to determine (like back to your computer). are you connecting it digitally? optical? could be a bad optical cable. prodj101
I don't think it's the player either.
justin_tx_16
It IS the BA's. They connect digitally only.
