Jim Cornell
Im out of H/t for the moment, but i have to ask? ????????????????????????????????????????????????? To all of you that ordered the new heritage, are they going to match the old heritage, or do you now have to upgrade all of it! The upgrade for the Klipschorn is $900.00 EACH Im thinking you might have been better off used! Jim
tuber
Jim the point I was trying to make in the other thread was I don't think there is a nat's hairs worth of diffrence in the sound of the new speakers compaired to the "vintage" units the new ones just look better, no nicks or dings, all this talk of the old speakers sounding better, to quote Mr. Klipsch BULL***T. j-malotky
Jim Based stricly on the cost of new, you are better off looking for older units. Also, HT is a lot more "forgiving" than 2 CH. You can easily get away with with combining new and old Heritage. If you want 5.1 for LISTENING, then matching would be more important. I also prefer the older models, I am not sold on using MDF in my Khorns. Im not talking sound quality, but I can't see MDF lasting 100 years. I know my grandchildern will be listening to my '83 plywood khorns long after I am worm food. JM
