Foxman
Basic question. The owner's manual on the Anthem AVR MRX520 suggested around 6 or 7" area of clearance around the unit for proper ventilation. I have about an inch. I am using the unit with a separate amp, but I am assuming the internal amp is still turned on and have noticed it does get warm. If I put a fan on the back of my cabinet, should I pull air from the front to back, or blow air from back to front? This is the fan I am considering: https://www.amazon.com/Wathai-Cooling-Receiver-Router-120mm/dp/B07V5LJ5L2/ref=sr_1_7_sspa?crid=QW4N60V5PZU4&keywords=cooling%2Bfan%2Bfor%2Bxbox%2Bseries%2Bx&qid=1636040395&sprefix=cooling%2Bfan%2Caps%2C184&sr=8-7-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzTlJQUko1OEFVQVpJJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjg5MjUzMVhQNFI0VTdHUjI5TSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwODc5Nzg4MTVSR1daWFpKSjFMVCZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX210ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU&th=1&fbclid=IwAR1FBCyNoTyoJP8UeWegENXdM-HGC0lVB7XVOpQhJhjmX0PilZI6UV3AJaI
Shiva
The general consensus from what I have read over the years in regards to this query is to pull the air from the front and exhaust out the back.
willland
As long as you are sucking the hot air out you should be okay. With an AVR, most of the heat is produced from the processor, like your computer, not the onboard amps themselves.
