314carpenter
This is a brand new product available for the first time today 12/16/2021 . Download the software from the Microsoft store. The Apple software version will be available at a later date. Official Press Release https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20211215005305/en/ Key notes: MultEQ-X software works as an add-on to the MultEQ system already embedded in many Denon and Marantz AVRS. Users get complete control over their target sound, with the ability to customize the frequency range and tonal balance of each individual speaker in the system. A virtual AVR is included with MultEQ-X for free in order to demonstrate the features and settings available. In order to calibrate an AVR, a license must be acquired through an in-app purchase. This license entitles the user to calibrate one AVR for the lifetime of the AVR. Licenses are per-user and per-AVR-serial-number, and are non-transferrable. More than a sleek interface to the built-in MultEQ technology, MultEQ-X decouples the delivery of technology from the delivery of hardware. It will be the first place users can experience many improvements and advancements to the MultEQ suite of software / firmware room correction that are currently under development. Key features: Measurement with detailed frequency responses for individual channels for easy room tuning* Subwoofer-level adjustment with slow and super-slow time rates* Advanced target curve designer, with new “Cutoff Mode” control, as well as complete control over target sound for every channel and every preset Manual override of all automatically detected parameters *Some features may not be available on all AVR models

314carpenter
The software is free to download. You may try the application for free using the built-in AVR. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/multeq-x/9p0smvdtvhqj?rtc=1&activetab=pivot:eek:verviewtab Licenses are per-user and per-AVR-serial-number and are non-transferrable. Let me explain... In real world use, you are required to purchase a license. The license is tied to the owner's, or installer's, email account. The license is granted toward use with one of the Marantz or Denon supported models (listed above) that the software finds on your network. License is not transferable to another user, can not be sold with or without the assigned D+M model, can not be transferred to any future model upgrades. It can however continue to be used if you have a warranty or service exchange for the same model #.

Thaddeus Smith
$200/license. And that's using the little pyramid mic? Factor in the $$$ for the pro-installer Audyssey mic kit.
