Fido
Does anyone have any experiences using balanced Isolated Transformers to power streamers, dacs, tt, etc? Do they lower the noice floor for these devices significantly.
Bubo
Transformers can't hurt they are quite heavy and can be expensive there is also the issue of grounding which some components may require I am very satisfied with the APC surge over-under, filter, sequencers I use They address more problem types than the transformers and are smaller and lighter weight, and less money APC 9-Outlet G-Type 15-Amp Rack-Mountable Power Conditioner (G5BLK) Brand: APC P\N: G5BLK UPC: 731304263920 Availability: In Stock Your Price: $165.99 https://www.solidsignal.com/Manuals/Manual_for_G5BLK.pdf https://www.solidsignal.com/apc-9-outlet-g-type-15-amp-rack-mountable-power-conditioner-g5blk?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cse&utm_term=G5BLK&msclkid=d8175133f7191bb259bd30ea7575fd3b

I have a Panamax line conditioner but am curious if the transformer might provide cleaner power that I could actually hear?
richieb
I’ve used Balanced Power Technology (BPT) transformer line conditioners for years. All my gear is plugged into it. Not sure they remain in business. And yes, they are quite heavy. Used them for so long I can’t say what audible difference it makes but initially I “think” I “heard” a quieter background and the presentation did “sound” different. Please note quotations on key words.

Highly unlikely you will hear anything unless there is an existing problem in need of repair or proper installation
