henry4841
My latest finished project. This is the second one of these I have built. Greatly enhances the sound when used with a SS amplifier. Not too complicated of a build that rewards with no noise, low distortion and great sound. I like simple circuits with as few parts as necessary. This one is for my own personal use and not to sell. It would have to be dressed up appearance wise to appeal most audiophiles. A wood case to set it in would make it more appealing. I just do not look at it when the music starts playing.
mike stehr
12AX7 in a SRPP configuration. I can't even recall what SRPP means...series resistance push-pull? Series reactance push-pull? Totem pole... I ginned up a 6SL7 in SRPP to drive a 71A. It sounded nice. I would think it would drive a 45/2A3 as well.
henry4841
ECC 802S which is in the family of the 12AU7. Shunt regulated push pull and I think it has been called totem pole as well. I can provide schematic if interested Mike. Like all circuits it has advantages and disadvantages. I used a previous one for years off and on. I have many different SS and tube pres I swap out routinely for a different flavor.
