    • This is the results of no hpf, bessel, butterworth, and linkwitz. 48db slope
    • OK another change in plans, we ended up ordering online and it should be here in 2 days. When I went back to look at it I noticed there was the same exact pan with the cast iron lid for $7.84 more so being the tight xxx I am I looked up to see how much a lid is. The lid alone is over $25.00 so we just ordered the one online with the lid. Shipping was $5.99 so by ordering something she was going to the store for in the next couple of days anyway made it eligible for free shipping. Cheap yes I am.      https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lodge-12-quot-Seasoned-Cast-Iron-Skillet-with-12-quot-Cast-Iron-Lid/572761967   $26.76 lid   https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lodge-12-Seasoned-Cast-Iron-Cover-L10SC3-12-Inch-Diameter/22577720
    • Unless the guy standing in the center is less than 2’ tall, those Khorns are at least 25’ apart.
    • Update on this. With the 2 port closed configuration it seems to naturally be flatter and go lower. Today I found out that this sub will bottom out around 118db for bass heavy music when not using a HPF. So I decided to unplug the ports and let it run as it was designed. Here are my results of doing so. The peq’s were for 2 port closed configuration so I could see the difference.    All measurements taken at the seating position. 13ft from horn mouth.          The butterworth HPF seemed to maintain good response and rapidly dumped anything below that. I figured I would try it to see if it helps the issue.    This is the current eq’d response and peq I’ll be trying. Open to criticism as always.
    • I checked with him about making a "Belle" emblem with the same font as Klipschorn and La Scalas. He sent a preliminary picture that looks really good. May get a pair of those if he does indeed make them
    • Kazakhstan pies! The small package looked sufficiently suspicious that we had to pick it up at the post office and provide a signature.
    • I just received the Klipsch pie medallions from Kazakhstan and I am pleased. The replicas are a bit smaller but not particularly noticeable unless they are right beside an original or you are a purist. I hot glued them on and they nicely cover the old glue residue. I’m keeping my single original for a special project in the future. I will post photos separately
    • All textured paint is harder to clean and the roller for Duratex does just that. Brushing it on will leave brush marks but be much easier to clean. I have to think spraying is best but have yet to try that. When I do I will report on what I find.   If you mix just s tad of water in the Duratex it will roll on with less texture but don't over do it.
