Marvel Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 Look up the Clementine amp. It's a single chassis stereo amp that can be built for 6L6 tubes (one per side) Designed by Shannon Parks, it's on DIYTUBE.COM. If you can't find on already built, you can surely find someone to build one for you. They aren't an expensive build. http://www.diytube.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=4893 Or get a new one... the Nobsound amps get pretty good reviews. https://www.ebay.com/itm/134760961309?itmmeta=01HTTQX9V60JWW7P5NPN6GMK78&hash=item1f6061151d:g:dR8AAOSwroNk~SQA&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4AMe2Tm%2FEWzYvm%2BpltS%2Frwss31vrkJJ1nPpgHhYosr9fEt50KGtTMF8hjYHrYI6jpAOjW31uSaFuMIBzeOAu7xeKo%2FVD48YUg8uVuojnx9O1B4abGQzEoWTA9UylkJz%2B5A74SJKbZ3NVqRHBgy81JaviUsK%2FHM2hvgNqMJHyuaRN2CFXQOX47euSyTF2WrLSk6lXCrn4Riy%2BjzvDgnJ7soydVXlW4ua%2FV4Li1F8lDwOnO4LLAq2xfKrqDx%2F6l8MQClSnkwMBvzf7gHT9DKLVYDiW5Uabz6xNXllVECctJFT1|tkp%3ABFBM1J3119Zj Quote
RobMarshall Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 Besides the tubes, does anyone know what modifications are in the Horn Mono's that make them more suitable for horn speakers? That would be good info to have to teach me more about horn speakers and what I have with the H-IV's. I Thx, Rob Quote

Means a lot. Was the idea to drop the gain, because the horns are so sensitive/and/or bright sounding? You can tell I have a lot to learn. Quote

Were you able to take a look at the link and the comments in the 3rd paragraph? Horns bright? The crossover must be out of spec or a bad design. Quote
