New to the forum. Not new to home theater, but honestly, taking a more serious approach to it than I have before.. I know that there must be a wealth of info here in this forum, and I signed up because I would like to go with Klipsch speakers for my set up now that I’m redoing the room. But I’ve read all sorts of opinions and nothing definitive as far as speaker selection. So here I am asking for input.

Here is what I came from most recently:

LG OLED G series 65”

Denon S-930H

Sony UBP-X800M2

FURMAN F1500-UPS

Fronts JBL HLS-820 Towers

Center HLS Center

Surrounds Athena AS-R1

Rears JBL HLS-810 bookshelves on stands

Infinity 12” sub

going to

LG G series 77” EVO 2

Denon X2700H

same 4K player

same fureman

I’ll think it’s time for new speakers. I was thinking the RP-600MII’s front and rears and appropriate surrounds and center with SPL-120 sub.  I am starved for depth on the center as it’s on a wall below the tv and above a fireplace. So a shallow one is necessary. Wanted to gain some space and go with the 600’s on shelves, but space constraints on the shelves say no, so it’s back to towers for the fronts.

The room is 14’ wide x 25’ deep. TV is above the fireplace no threat to heat or dust, that’s been demonstrated.

most movies are action, Sci-fi, all forms of music.

so I’m looking for real world opinions on the mix of all speakers.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Welcome!

What Klipsch floorstanders model are you considering?

@Toast The 600s can be placed on speaker stands.

Don’t know. Open to suggestions.

Ill be running an SPL-120 that will be in a cabinet. I think I can get away with it as it’s a front firing set up, both in sub and port. maybe the 600’s on their side?

Would prefer the towers and their capabilities over a bookshelf in stands if their both going to consume the same space.

Thought had asked but, the RP-8000F are right popular.
