Dale W
Acid rain forming coal ?? Thats a good one. I have my 3rd class power engineering certificate and have spent many hour at some of the largest coal fired boilers in the country. Fly ash maybe a concern to some but a properly set coal fire boiler with all the bells and whisltes attached ( take me pages to list) should produce little less than heat. Granted there are still some sub stardard plants running and thats up to your state and or province to clap down on there emisions. Nitrate's & Oxides can be nasty if not dealt with, i'll give you that much.
ben.
Hey triode pete- Relax man! If you read my post, you'd see I wasn't critical of any NYers except the guys who screwed up the deal on the power project for us WNYers years ago. I may have had my facts a little wrong about exactly where the juice goes from here, but my point was that it does go elsewhere. BTW it's spelled Niagara-maybe you've had a little too much Viagra on the brain. Also-don't be so overly proud of yourselves downstate. "Real" NYers are really all over the state-and the mid-south for that matter. You're right about NiMo though.
Triode Pete
Hey bclark, It's your language ... "They send all the cheap power downstate to the a-holes in NYC & LI" that all New Yorkers do not appreciate. Now let the tubes warm up & everyone chill down. ben.
Right on!! I did qualify my statement, though! No offense meant, and none taken here!
