swells
I have a pair of '85 Heresy with the old screw type connection. It shouldn't be a difficult upgrade, does anyone have a suggestion for new binding post and where I could get them?
Mighty Favog
I've heard good things about Cardas five-way posts. You could go to their site to see. As for where to get them? Audio Advisor and the like could probably set you up with 'em.

tigerwoodKhorns
I used a set of binding post boxes from radio shack fro my heresys. They seem to be about the same quality that is supplied woth most speakers. they were $5 each. Chris
hwatkins
I do the same as Tigerwood - inexpensive with at least as good quality as original with the advantage of much easier hook up to speaker wire. For my current speaker project I have two sets in case I need some external crossover help with woofers. If you want to go fancy check www.madisound.com for full binding options including plates. CaptnBob
Be careful where you install them. Often the five way binding posts come installed in a neat little recessed cup which protects them - but - these cups are usually deeper than the back of the Heresy and may hit the rear of the midrange driver when you try to put everything together. There's not a lot of clearance there. I am, alas, the voice of experience in this. I centered the new holes on the ones from the old terminals, installed the cups, soldered the leads in place, and then found I couldn't close the backs. There is still a hint of brimstone in the air in the corner of the garage where I discovered this.
JCturboT
For anyone interested... www.partsexpress.com has a real nice pair of Heavy duty binding posts that might fit the bill. Part # 091-1245 on sale right now for $7.90 a pair. These have a extra long rear bolt (1 1/2") that would work good with the Heritage line. Hope this helps.
