Kirt Posted September 28, 2023 Author Share Posted September 28, 2023 I think the voice coil is frozen. I can't move the cone at all with my fingers, and the other one moves freely. OO1 Posted September 28, 2023 Share Posted September 28, 2023 the woofer seems to have a defective voice coil .......any speaker shop can replace a VC , no need to recone the woofer , they remove the dust cap , unsolder the leads , remove the VC , clean the gap area , and in reverse mode , , they install a new VC with shims , solder the leads , re-glue the VC , 1 h labor plus parts 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
