4977
Does anyone know if a tweeter diaphragm could be damaged during shipping? 1 of mine is not working the other is. I swapped tweeters between speakers to be sure that it was the tweeter it self. Is there anything other than the diaphragm that could be the problem? Thanks, Q. Mighty Favog
You may want to touch up the solder joints betwen the two connecting terminals and the voice coil wires.
4977
Good idea, but it didn't work. I guess I will have to order a new diaphragm Monday. Thanks, Q.
djk
Take out the diaphragm and examine the gap.Sometimes they pinch shut on one side from shipping.
4977
djk, Thanks for the suggestion. I compared the damaged 1 to the 1 that works and could find no difference. I ordered a new diaphragm this morning so hopefully I will have 2 working tweeters soon. Q.
