I have learned so much from the guys here.I am a pretty new in the home theater world. I went to my local audio store and they had a pair of RS-3II open box for 185.00 each. after talking to him notifiying him that I knew he had to get rid of them because he had to make room for the rs-35 I talked him down to 150.00 a piece. is that a good price or did I over pay?? Dome Posted June 7, 2003 Share Posted June 7, 2003 Definatly a good deal as long as they are in good shape. I got my RF-3's open box for 300 each (100 off each speaker) which I was pretty happy with since 1. I am in college and I don't have a load of money and 2. they were in excellent shape, only missing the feet (which I am assuming were thrown away when they setup the floor models. retro Posted June 9, 2003 Share Posted June 9, 2003 I just picked up floor models of the Main, Center and Surrounds for the 3II series and stores are definitely dealing them. I paid $300 for the Surrounds, $225 for the Center and $400 for the towers. I was was wanting to get the new line when it came out, but could not pass on the deal they gave me for the 3II's. space_cowboy Posted June 9, 2003 Share Posted June 9, 2003 You got a good deal on those, I paid retail back around Christmas at a Tweeters at about what Dome quoted. Enjoy, and don't be afraid to use the keyhole mounts as some have said on here. I used a standard? plastic anchor with #10 3" wood screws, and they aren't going anywhere.
