RobBeam Posted August 26, 2003 Author Share Posted August 26, 2003 Absolutely sure .... PKW wouldn't lie. Actually had a couple of friends question the wood since I took that picture. A lot of companies describe a wood as being ebony that really is just some blackened wood. Without seeing your guitar the rosewood I've seen has a similar contrast but the grain is completely different. Here's a nicely done sampling of extoic wood veneers. Gregorius Posted August 27, 2003 Share Posted August 27, 2003 Rob, You are right, I was mistaken. My Martin guitar has an East Indian Rosewood body, with an Ebony fretboard. It has a straighter grain than the rosewood sample, very similar to the Ebony on your speakers. They are quite beautiful by the way, I wish I had Khorns in that wood.
