greg928gts
I found a mint condition pair of cherry RF-5's, less than a year old, hardly used, in storage in their original boxes for $700. Is this a fair price, good price, or exceptional deal? Anybody care to enlighten me with a comment or two on the sound quality of these speakers? Audio Flynn
Well...they are not k horns. I got my Chorus II for $ 800. I have only heard the RF-5 in a hifi shop with Rotel SS amplification. Pretty nice although i am not sweet on SS for 2 channel music of late. RF-5 is defineitely a 2 way speaker you can hear the crosover point easier than a Heritage 3 way. A nice speaker if you have space constraints. For the money there are other 3 way options to consider.
Vital
That is an awesome deal. You can't go wrong paying $350.00 a speaker for brand new RF-5s IMO. Try to bargain with him, maybe you can get it down another $50.00-$100.00 and really steal them.
marksdad
i had/have rf 5's, a very good speak, but for 700 a pair it would be an excellent speaker, you absolutly could not go wrong, buy them now! the only reason i gave them to my son is because i went the heritage route
