love_hertz
IN ANYONES OPINION OR FACT WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE BEST PICTURE TUBE HD MONITOR 36" OR 40" SO MANY MANUFACTURERS?
avman
in a 4x3 model, YOUR 36xbr800 is absolutely one of the BEST. lest you think i'm sony biased, you couldn't GIVE me a 40"sony tube tv, at least not unless i got to run it through some tests first(inconsistant picture quality from set-to-set) in a 16:9 tube tv, well...SONY!! the 34"hs510, and 34"/ 30"xbr910 are AWESOME,possibly the BEST tube made! also rans:(IMO) toshiba hitachi JMO-avman. jstanton
The 36" and 40" Sony WEGA XBRs. I'm not sure how you would get a better tube than those....
PKuziel
Too bad it looks like Sony is going to stop production of tubes! Here take a look: http://www.digitimes.com/NewsShow/Article.asp?datePublish=2003/10/21&pages=A8&seq=48 Well even if it is in Japan, it can't be too long before here. garymd
If you go widescreen the kv34xbr800 that I have is hard to beat (if you can still find it). They may have a new model out. I looked at a lot of tvs but found none that beat mine.
avman
NO! NO! NO!!! NOT the 40" sony-unless you find a 'good' one! i own the 36xbr450, and it is a great 4x3 hdtv...but,the 34" widetube xbr910 makes a better picture than the 34hs510 or the older 34xbr800. avman.
